Florida isn’t the only place offering the best beach experience. It’s neighboring state Georgia also has beautiful beaches spread across the region, too.

Bordered to the southeast by the Atlantic Ocean, expect the numerous options of seaside restaurants and cafés, resorts and hotels as well as parks and other facilities which come with the amazing sandy beaches.

Driftwood Beach, Jekyll Island

Located on the northern end of Jekyll Island, Driftwood Beach extends from Clam Creek Picnic Area to the Villas by the Sea Resort and Conference Center. Once you arrived at the beach, you’ll be amazed by the ethereal view of the beautiful driftwood and trees right away.

Such an iconic view is a result of decades of erosion. The sandy beach lined with crumbling tree trunks and branches used to be a maritime forest in the past. That way, Driftwood Beach makes an amazing location for picnics.

Even if it is not for swimming, you can always enjoy the scenic panorama of the beach. Go to Driftwood Distro and experience the dining experience of the best restaurant in Jekyll Island—the fried okra and fried green tomatoes, as well as cheese grits, are totally worth it!

They also serve wines and cocktails, so make sure to order some for the perfect stargazing! There’s plenty of seaside cottages available near the beach to spend the night such as Crowes Nest cottage, Newmans Beachview Home, Holiday Inn Resort Jekyll Island, you name it.

As for the attractions, there’s Three Oaks Farm which provides you with horseback riding service and enjoying beach ride at sunset with your loved ones.

If you want some historical experience, pay a visit to Horton house, one of the oldest buildings in Georgia. Besides the ruins of Major William Horton, you’ll also see the cemetery of the DuBignon Family here.

Don’t forget that Driftwood Beach is friendly to dogs, so make sure to take your pups to enjoy the beach with you!

Well, if you’re looking for plentiful options of wonderful beaches in Georgia, just visit Tybee Island. Greeted with tall palm trees and swaying river which adorn the landscape, visitors are fully welcomed to the Savannah's Beach. Famous beaches here are North Beach, Mid Beach, and South Beach.

Make sure to enjoy the panoramic scene of the sandy shore from the top of the Tybee Light Station & Museum at North Beach. Close to the beach, you might as well find Fort Screven which is a former military post.

Visiting the resident turtles at the Tybee Island Marine Science Center is also a must aside from enjoying the beautiful sandy shores. The Pier & Pavilion, located at South Beach, is not only great for fishing it also acts as a venue for musical performances, art shows, contests, and many more.

As there’s no end to the entertainment and activities you can do. You’ll find endless dining experience. There’s a bunch of cafés and restaurants available, such as The Deck Beach Bar and Kitchen, Fannies On the Beach, Sting Ray’s Seafood, and Huc-A-Poos Bites and Booze.

There’s also no need to worry about the accommodation for you can stay at the local hotels, such as Hotel Tybee and DeSoto Beach Hotel, or stay at the cottages ready to rent like Nora’s Cottage and Mermaid Cottage.

Robin Lake Beach, Pine Mountain

Robin Lake Beach is the special facility provided by Callaway Resort & Gardens. Only sixty miles from Atlanta, the beach offers just the same atmosphere of a fun summer paradise at a real beach. You can swim, sunbathe, or play golf and table tennis.

The summer glory doesn’t stop there, though. Enjoy waterskiing and water tubing at this man-made beach by renting some boats and other watersports equipment at the Rental Center. There’s also the Aqua Island Floating Playground for kids.

Once you’re hungry, grab your food at the Robin Lake Beach Pavilion. They offer a la carté menus and kids meals for about $5, which is considered cheap compared to other attractions around Atlanta.

Lastly, you should keep in mind that they aren’t open all day; the operating hours are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. (on Fridays and Saturdays).
