The reason why the color is black is on the fact it opens to the surface of the skin, so dirt can enter it and oxidizes. Meanwhile, whiteheads have a cover of think skin over it, so that’s why it’s white because it hasn’t exposed to oxygen.

Tip 2. Exfoliate using AHAs and BHAs

Alpha and beta hydroxy acids or AHAs and BHAs, also known as salicylic acid, are gentle chemical exfoliants that are safe to use for exfoliating your skin. Besides AHAs and BHAs, retinol is also good to remove blackheads on nose and minimize the appearance of the pores.

Make sure to only use them maximum twice a week to avoid skin damage because these chemicals remove a layer of your skin.

But you have to be careful in using clay masks because there are some clay masks that contain sulfur. Sulfur can be an allergen to many people, so you have to make sure that you’re not allergic to sulfur before applying a clay mask.

Tip 4. Extraction

You can do blackhead extraction at home with instruments such as comedones extractor. You will want to do first to prime your skin by putting a warm compress on your nose to soften the pores and dirt in the pores.

Once your skin is nice and soft, you need to make sure the area and the instrument are clean. Then, place the loop of the extractor so that the blackhead is in the center of the loop.

Apply even pressure on each side of the loop and don’t push or drag it across your skin. Use a spot or acne treatment cream after you extract your pores to prevent bacteria from growing and reduce the irritation from the extraction process.
