1. Colossal Cave Mountain Park, Arizona

Colossal Cave Mountain Park is natural wildlife that offers its visitors to have challenging tours discovering its narrow yet beautiful cave. The cave has a unique rock formation and is enjoyable for visitors. It also has a butterfly garden, make sure to check it out if you happen to visit the park. This is amazing and you will love it! 

The cave on Colossal cave Mountain Park is about half-mile long which will take 50 minutes of walk to complete. You will discover the beauty in that length of time. Things you will discover if you join the cave tour are the history, its legends, and the unique geology available in the cave. 

The amazing stalactites, stalagmites, flowstones, box work, and helictites will be discovered after you walk the 363 stair steeps deep in the cave. If you are lucky enough, you can meet the wildlife's creatures around it. This cave tour is open a full year-round. 

All you need to prepare to join this cave tour is a pair of comfortable walking shoes. This way, you are good to go exploring the cave! The tour costs about USD 18 for adults, USD 9 for children ages 5 - 12 years, and for kids ages, 4 years and under are free entry. 

There is a special price if you are early-bird buyers, you can get the ticket for only USD 14. For a military visitor, the ticket will cost USD 14 for adults and USD 8 for the military child with ID. This place is a perfect family-friendly recreation that offers a little something for everyone.

They are the El Bosquecito and La Selvilla, for the large area and numbers of smaller areas with 30 individual sides available in the Colossal Cave Mountain.

The camping rates in the area around Colossal Cave Mountain ranging from USD 7.50 for a vehicle per night and USD 12 for RV and Horse Trailer Camping per night. Make sure to check-in earlier before you enter the camping area. You will have an amazing camping experience around the magnificent saguaro cacti and mesquite trees in Posta Quemada Canyon.

The other pleasurable thing you can do around the mountain park is birding activity. Take a bird walk at La Posta Quemada Ranch and you can see a variety of birds in the tours. It includes the permanent and visiting warblers, sparrows, and raptors, all available in the bird park. 

Everyone of all ages is welcome to visit and check the bird park in the area. But we recommend you to bring your binoculars to be able to see the birds clearly. The bird walk tour is around 1,5 hours. Join in and you will have a leisurely pace activity while listening to the calming birds sound. It is relaxing!

Are you feeling good and want to have a leisure activity today? And the skies are blue, yes! It is a perfect day to go out to have a relaxing picnic with your family and friends. There is a shaded retreat, wooded area in a narrow available in the park for you. 

This place can accommodate large or small groups to have a picnic activity around the Colossal Cave. The picnic area is equipped with tables and grills for most spots. If you do not bring your lunch, you can get it to the nearest restaurant, such as The Terrace Cafe near the park.
