1. How to Wash a Baseball Hat

If you have a baseball hat that you like, there is a high possibility that the hat is dirty and sweaty because you wear it too often. Learning how to wash a hat properly will make your hat lasts for years to come!

So, make sure to follow this step-by-step tutorial below!

Step 1. First thing first, you need to prepare a bucket full of warm water and another one full of cool water. Then, pour some laundry detergent, 1 tablespoon is enough but it also depends on how much water you use. If you have OxiClean, it's highly recommended to use it. It helps you to stain-fighting your hat.

Step 2. Now, clean the spot of your hat first. Take care of the spot that you think needs more effort to clean. This spot-clean requires a dab of cleaning. Get the spot dip in the water and use a brush (you can use the designed brush for a hat or you can just simply use a toothbrush) to wash the problematic spots. If it's too hard to clean using the detergent, you can use shampoo to clean the stain. It works better.

Step 3. Brush until the strain leaves the hats, but make sure not too vigorous or you will mistreat your hat. Be especially careful around threaded stitching.

Step 4. Then, soak the hat for a couple of hours. A 30-minutes soaking is okay, but when the strain is bad, you really need to be patient. Those problematic strains really need more time to leave.

Step 5. Now use a small scrubber and wash the problematic spot again and again. But, keep on mind to be careful about the stitched patterns, especially the logos. Now rinse using the warm water to remove the soap. After the soap is totally removed, then let dry.

Step 6. If you want to dry it faster, you can pat using a towel. It will help you to get rid of the excess faster. Once again, be careful and gentle with the stitched patterns and the logos. Then, hang on a counter to air dry (make sure there is no more excess to drip).

Step 7. To best air dry your hat, you can find a coffee jar or something that can prevent your hat from being crumpled on the counter. This will help your hat to maintain the shape. If you want to dry it faster, you can also use a hairdryer. But, make sure to use on the low heat. Air blowing with a mini fan is okay.
