1. Soda bottle traps

STEP 1. Firstly, clean an empty plastic two-liter soda bottle.
STEP 2. Cut the top third of the bottle. You can cut the part above the label of the bottle.
STEP 3. Fill it with a sweet liquid, like sugar water in the bottom third of the bottle.
STEP 4. Turn the top third of the bottle, so you will create a cone shape. Then, place it in the opening of the larger part of the bottle.
STEP 5. Flies will go inside the bottle but they won't be able to get out.

2. Vinegar and dish shop fly trap

Here's how to get rid of flies using a vinegar and dish shop fly trap.

STEP 1.  Use a shallow bowl. Then fill the bowl with an inch of apple cider vinegar and a spoon of sugar.
STEP 2. Then, fill some dish shop with fruit scents.
STEP 3. Leave the bowl uncovered or tightly covered with plastic wrap. Then, poke a few holes so that flies will come into the bowl

3. A natural way to get rid of houseflies

Here's how to get rid of flies by using a natural way.

STEP 1. Fill a glass jar with apple cider vinegar. Then, get a paper funnel and place it in the jar. The scent will attract the flies and the paper funnel will prevent them to get out.
STEP 2. Place 20-25 cloves in lemon halves.
STEP 3. Place some drops of Eucalyptus oil on ribbon or cloth strips. Then, hang them near your doors or windows.

Fruit flies hate clean places or surfaces. So, always keep your countertops clean. Fruits' juice or particle that are left in your table will attract fruit flies to come. So, don't wait too long to clean them up.

But, if your kitchen is already clean and you still see fruit flies flying around, you should follow these steps on how to get rid of flies to get them away from your fruits or kitchen. 

STEP 1. Get a bowl or glass and fill it with apple cider vinegar.
STEP 2. Cover it with plastic and seal the edge with a rubber.
STEP 3. Make some holes on the top. The fruit flies will be attracted to go inside the bowl, but they won't be able to come out.

Additionally, you can mix apple cider vinegar and dish shop inside the bowl. The apple cider will call the fruit flies to go inside the bowl and the dish shop works to decrease the surface tension of the liquid, so the flies will get lost in the liquid and won't escape.

You can also use your old beer or wine too! Put your old beer or wine near the place where the flies are spotted. They will be attracted by the stale beverage, but they won't get out because of the narrow neck of the bottle.

Drain flies love shallow water, especially near sources of bacteria or food. In a building, they are usually found around sinks or showers.

They also like places that you left for a certain period of time or not used frequently. Even though they don't bite and carry diseases to humans, they are a sign that your kitchen could be deeply clean.

To know whether there are drain flies in your drain, you can use tape (sticky side down) and place it over your drain. When they try to escape, they will be trapped on the tape, so you will have an indication.

To get rid of them, you can do regular cleaning. Most drain fly problems can be fixed within a week. Or, you can also follow the steps on how to get rid of flies below.

Step 1. Start with the basics. Clean your sink with your cleaning solution. Then, scrub around and inside the drain with a pipe brush.
