Step 1. Fill a large pot halfway with water then put a heat-proof bowl of the water. The bowl must float because it will collect the distilled water.

Step 2. Cover the pot with a glass lid which size is bigger than the pot. Put the lid upside down.

Step 3. Heat the water over medium heat and bring to a boil. You can speed up the condensation process by putting some ice on the glass lid.

Step 4. Remove the water on the lid that forms when the ice melts. Put the lid back on in an upside-down position and place some ice again on top of the lid.

Step 5. Remove the bowl from the pot once it collects a lot of water.

Step 6. Let sit to cool and transfer the water to an airtight container once it cools.

2. How to Make Distilled Water With a Kettle

Step 1. Prepare one 18” stainless steel or copper pipe, 2 pipe coupler, 1 PVC elbow joint, and one PVC reducer. Assemble all the tools and connect them to the kettle.

Step 2. Prepare 1 glass jar to at the end of the pipe that has the elbow joint to collect the distilled water.

Step 3. Fill the kettle with water and bring to a boil.

Step 4. The steam of the boiling water will come out from the pipe and go to the glass jar. You could refill the kettle with more water to get the distilled water that you need.

3. How to Make Distilled Water for Humidifier

A humidifier is a tool that can help to increase the amount of moisture in the air. Using humidifiers can prevent dryness that might cause irritation on the body, such as nose, throat, skin, and lips.
