Recording a Zoom Meeting can be done using a desktop. Before you start recording, make sure you create an appropriate folder on your desktop. You can click the gear icon on the home screen to open the settings.
Then, find a "Recording" tab on the left. Zoom will automatically create a document folder. You can change the location of the folder by clicking the drop-down menu.
So, here's the step-by-step tutorials on how to record Zoom Meeting:
Step 1. When you are joining a Zoom Meeting, click the "Record" button on the bottom of the screen. If you can's see the toolbar on your screen, simply move the cursor wherever to reappear the menu. But, if the host meeting doesn't allow you to record, the "record" button will not exist.
Step 2. Once you are done clicking, the Zoom Meeting will start recording. You will see a small label "Recording...." in the upper-left corner.
Step 3. You can pause and stop the recording using the buttons in the upper left of the screen. If you pause the recording, the label will change to red and read "Recording Paused"
Step 4. If you want to end the recording, click the "Stop" option in the upper left of your screen. A notification "The recording file will be converted to mp4 when the meeting ends." may appear on your screen.
Step 5. Your recording is now saved on your computer, You can search "Recorded" tab in the "Meetings" section of the Zoom app.
How to Record Zoom Meeting without Permission
Zoom app doesn't allow you to record the meeting without the host's permission, however, you can use the tricks below to record Zoom Meeting on the desktop.
Step 1. Download and install the ApowerREC app. Then allow the app to access the contents of your screen and microphone.
Step 2. Open the Zoom app and then join a meeting
Step 3. Open ApowerREC on your computer
Step 4. Choose the Zoom meeting window on ApowerREC by clicking the Custom tile on the recorder. Then drag the cursor from one corner to the other of the meeting screen
Step 5. After that select, the ‘System sound and microphone’ option.
Step 6. Now, start the recording by clicking the red ‘REC’ button on your screen.
