Recipe Using Canned Salmon

1. Canned salmon pattie recipe

Ingredients: 

  • 1 (14.75 ounces) can canned salmon
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ cup chopped onion
  • ½ cup seasoned dry bread crumbs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions: 

Step 1. To start this canned salmon recipe, you can drain and keep aside the liquid from the salmon. 

Step 2. Get a bowl and mix the egg, onion, bread crumbs, and the salmon. 

Step 3. Now, make it into patties. If you think it's too dry, you can add more reserved liquid from salmon. 

Step 4. Heat olive oil on a frying pan and add in the patties. When it's brown on each side, flip over gently and drain on paper towels. Place on a plate and serve it. 

2. Canned salmon burger recipe

Ingredients: 

  • 2 teaspoons freshly chopped parsley leaves
  • 1/2 Vidalia onion, diced
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon cracked black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 lemon (zested)
  • 4 tablespoons Dill Mayonnaise
  • Two 6 1/2-ounce cans Alaska skinless and boneless pink salmon (drained well)
  • 2 tablespoons grapeseed oil

For the Dill Mayonnaise

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced
  • 2 tablespoons freshly chopped dill leaves
  • Pinch cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cracked black pepper

Instructions: 

Step 1. Let's start this canned salmon recipe by preheating your oven to 400 °F. 

Step 2. Prepare the Dill Mayonnaise by mix all the Dill Mayonnaise ingredients in a bowl. Set aside for later. 

Step 3. Get a bowl to mix the onions, parsley, eggs, panko, black pepper, salt, lemon zest, and Dill Mayonnaise until well-combined. 

Step 4. Add in the drained salmon into the bowl. Mix all together and make 4 patties and set them aside. 

Step 5. Heat 2 tsp of grapeseed foil on a big skillet.  Add in the burger skillets on it. With medium heat, cook the skillets until browned. Flip over to cook the other side. It may take 3-4 minutes. 

Step 6. Now, you can serve it on buns with Dill Mayonnaise.

3. Salmon loaf recipe using canned salmon

Ingredients: 

  • 16 ounces canned salmon (drained)
  • 1 1/2 cups soft fresh bread crumbs
  • 2 large eggs (beaten)
  • 1/2 cup light cream (or evaporated milk)
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 3 tablespoons onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon dry dill weed
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Ground black pepper (to taste)

Instructions: 

Step 1. Get all ingredients ready to continue this canned salmon recipe! 

Step 2. We recommend you to use a loaf pan. If you don't have it, you can use your hands to shape the salmon mixture into a loaf shape on a greased baking sheet. If you use a loaf pan, grease it and flake the salmon. Combine with bread crumbs in a bowl. 

Step 3. Get another bowl to whisk the eggs, melted butter, and cream. You can use milk too. 

Step 4. Pour in the wet ingredients with the salmon mixture. Stir in onion, parsley, salt, dill, and pepper. Combine well. 

Step 5. Turn the salmon mixture into the loaf pan and bake for 45-55 minutes until cooked through.

4. Canned pink salmon salad recipe

Ingredients: 

  • 7.5 oz canned salmon
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup avocado oil mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot pepper sauce (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon capers
  • 1/4 cup thinly sliced scallions (green part)

Instructions: 

Step 1. Firstly, drain the salmon and place it into a bowl. Flake it with a fork. 

Step 2. Add in the black pepper, Dijon mustard, mayonnaise, and hot pepper sauce (if you use). Combine them all together. 

Step 3. Add in the capers and scallions too and combine again.

  • 1/2 cup Panko
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 green bell pepper (chopped)
  • 1/2 red bell pepper (chopped)
  • 35 ounce canned salmon
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 large egg (lightly beaten)
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro

Instructions: 

Step 1. On this canned salmon recipe, get a bowl first to mix the panko and flour. Then, add in canned salmon, bell peppers, salt, garlic, egg, pepper, mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, and cilantro. Mix all together well.

  • 7 1/2 ounces 7 3/4 can salmon
  • 200 grams of cream cheese (light cream cheese is recommended)
  • 3 drops liquid smoke flavoring (make sure you buy chemical-free liquid smoke)
  • 3 soup spoons sliced green onions (red or white onions work too)

Instructions: 

Step 1. On this canned salmon recipe, we will make smoke salmon spread style. So, drain and clean your salmon first. Reserve 2 tsp of salmon liquid. Then, flake the salmon. 

Step 2. Get a bowl and mix the cream cheese, liquid smoke flavoring, and salmon liquid. Blend them well.
