We recommend adding cilantro lime sour cream for your skirt steak tacos to make it more special. You only need 20 minutes in total to establish this skirt steak taco on your table.


  • 1 lb. skirt steak
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 1 lime, juiced and zested
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon cracked black pepper
  • kosher salt, to taste
  • corn tortillas

Additional topping:

  • fresh cilantro
  • diced avocado
  • shredded red cabbage or romaine lettuce
  • jalapenos
  • diced red onion or green onion
  • Monterey jack cheese


Step 1. Whisk olive oil along with lime juice, lime zest, garlic cloves, cumin, and pepper in a small bowl. Then pour the marinade to the skirt steak until coated. Place the steak in a sealed bag. Squeeze out the air on the bag and place it in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes.

Step 2. Now prepare the cilantro lime cream. Blend 1/2 cup sour cream, cilantro, and lime juice using a food processor. Then blend again the mixture into 1/4 cup of sour cream, lime zest, salt, and pepper. Bring it to the refrigerator until it' ready to be used.

Step 3. Now, heat a grill pan over medium heat to cook the steak. Remove steak from the refrigerator and allow to reach room temperature. Sprinkle the steak with kosher salt before grilling.

Step 4. When it is done, grill the steak for approximately 3 to 4 minutes each side and rest for 10 minutes before serving.

Step 5. Also, grill tortilla for a while. Stuff it with steak slice, avocado, and radishes slices. Then pour the cilantro lime cream over it.

2. Skirt Steak Recipe with Paprika Butter

Make skirt steak with smoky paprika butter for your dinner parties. It is quick to cook and is fatty enough, which is great for treating your friends or families. Prepare the following ingredients for the skirt steak recipe.


  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter 
  • 6 garlic cloves, thinly sliced 
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons smoked hot paprika 
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice 
  • Kosher Salt 
  • 5 pounds skirt steaks 
  • Vegetable oil
  • Freshly ground pepper
  • Sunchoke-Kale Hash with Farro


Step 1. Start by heating a grill pan over medium heat. 

Step 2. In a small saucepan, melt butter and followed by adding garlic, then cook for at least 3 minutes until golden. Also, include paprika to the pan and cook until fragrant. Remove the ingredients from heat and add in lemon juice. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
