Once you set your steps on Franconia Notch State Park, you will be served with the views of spectacular mountain pass traversed by a unique parkway.

The parkways connect from the Flume Gorge to Echo Lake. The park itself is located in the middle of the White Mountain National Forest. Make it more spectacular for the views surrounding it.

There are numerous activities you can do here. While visiting the park, make sure to stop by at the Flume Gorge Visitor Center. Then head to the Flume Gorge and ride the aerial tramway.
You will also need to add the New England Ski Museum to your itinerary. It's worth your exploration at the park. If you love swimming and the seasons support you too, you can also swim at Echo Lake. 
You can expect abundant activities here like fishing at the Profile Lake or biking at the Recreational Trail. A day wouldn't be enough to spend here.

Franconia Notch State Park boasts almost a 7,000-acre area. And, hiking is one of the must things to do here. If you are a hiking enthusiast, you will be satisfied with the spectacular vies of mountain overlooks. In winter, the park is even called the mini version of Alaska. There is a constant vies of snow mountains in every blink of your eyes.

Here, you can explore 34 vast trails ranging from 2-mile trail loops to 16-mile hikes. The trails vary for every hiking skill level. If you are planning to hike with your dog, just do. Their trails are dog friendly. Just make sure they are on a leash.

Before going hiking here, we'd love to make sure you wear sturdy shoes to support the trail tracks. It's important to remember that the trails are mostly steep as it's in the mountain area.

Planning for a long trip? No worries. You can stay at one of the campsites or cabins provided by the camp. They provide a variety of camping sites for nature lovers.

The park provides campers with two options of the campsite with two different scenic areas. They are the 101 site campground at Beaver Pond and the cabins at Bear Hill Pond.

If you are planning to have more primitive camping, you may want to stay at the 101 site campground. But, if you want to stay under the comfortable rooftop, then the cabins should be your answer. 

The Lafayette Place Campground is camping for the park. They provide 97 wooded tent sites to choose from. It's a self-service camping area with limited staffing. It's perfect if you are here for more private camping.

Each of the campsites has provided with wooded and has a picnic table, and also an open fireplace. The showers are coin-operated. And, perhaps, if you need to buy something for your need, there is also a camp store.
