While surfing is only allowed in certain areas of the beach. A strong undertow makes it hard to swim. So, swimming is only suggested for those who are already experienced. Besides, you can simply visit the gorgeous dune, Dune Shack Trail, behind the beach

Are you questioning the parking lot in Race Point Beach? Don't worry! The beach has its parking lot that can accommodate approximately 300 vehicles. The parking fee for a vehicle is $25, while bikers have to pay $10. The parking area is officially closed at midnight.

The parking lot at Race Point Beach is quite far. You need to climb a bit if you have to park at the far end of the parking lot. However, you can drop passengers near the beach access point.

If you are a budget traveler and want to save money, you can park for free at the Province Lands Visitor Center. It is open only from May to October from 9 AM to 5 PM. But you have to walk or bike a half-mile to arrive at the beach.

You may expect to camp near the beach where you can enjoy the sounds of water from your tent. Unfortunately, any camping at Race Point Beach including an overnight tent is prohibited. 

But don't be sad, because there are always other options to keep fun at Race Point Beach. The first way to stay overnight near Race Point Beah is by taking Self-Contained-Vehicle Camping (SCV).

But it is only allowed in the Off-Road Vehicle Corridor and you must meet the requirement to access the corridor. You have to obtain a valid SCV from the ORV office. SRV camping is also limited only to 100 vehicles per night.

You can build up your tent at the nearest camping spot, Dunes Edge Campground. This quiet campground is located about 6 miles from the beach. The campground provides tent and RV camping as well as some cabins. Showers and restrooms are provided in few locations at this campground.
