Rockport Beach Rules

Before you visit Rockport Beach, you have to know the rules of things that you must obey at the beach, such as:

  • No animals/pet/dogs
  • No littering
  • No fireworks
  • No glass containers
  • Must respect all designated bird areas
  • Must obey all traffic signs
  • Fires only allowed in BBQ pits

Rockport Beach Hours

You can visit Rockport Beach from Sunday to Saturday from 06:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. And on Friday and Saturday, the beach is open from 06:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m.

There is a parking fee that you need to pay when you visit Rockport Beach. The parking fees are $5 per day, but you can also buy the yearly pass that only costs $20/year.

One cottage that is located near the beach is the Candlelight Cottages which is located only an 8-minute walk from Rockport Beach and a 9-minute walk from the Aquarium at Rockport Harbor. This cottage consists of a complex of homey and comfy cottages.

The cottages are also equipped with a flat-screen TV, DVD player, free WiFi connection, and full kitchens as well as covered porches.

There’s also an observation deck where you can enjoy the panoramic view of the bay and a patio with a BBQ pit where you can enjoy a fun barbecue night with your family and friends. And since the cottage is pet-friendly, you are allowed to bring your furry friend to stay with you. 

Rockport Beach Camping

Overnight camping is not allowed at Rockport Beach. However, you are still allowed to bring a tent with you to the beach for shade to protect you from the sun.

Rockport Beach Pavilion

Rockport Beach has four pavilions that people can rent, namely the Beachfront Pavilion, Blue Wave Pavilion, Saltwater Pavilion, and Little Bay Pavilion.

The Beachfront Pavilion is a nearly 1000 square feet pavilion that can accommodate more than 85 people. It’s overlooking Aransas Bay and features private restrooms. You can rent the pavilion for $300/12 hours with an additional deposit of $200 for cleaning/damage.

The Blue Wave Pavilion is an open-air pavilion located at the beach and overlooking Aransas Bay. The pavilion features a handicap-access sidewalk, barbeque pit, and sand dune bridge. You can rent the pavilion for $125 and an additional deposit of $50 for cleaning/damage.

The Saltwater Pavilion is the nuggets pavilion. It’s located on the Saltwater Lagoon and overlooking the Aransas Bay, Key Allegro, and Leggett Channel. The pavilion features a glass-fronted and climate-controlled room. To fee to rent the pavilion is $400/12 hours with the deposit of $300 for cleaning/damage. 

The last pavilion is the Little Bay Pavilion that is located within Rockport Beach. The pavilion features a handicap-access sidewalk, barbeque pit, tables, and electrical outlets. The fee to rent this pavilion is $350 with a deposit of $100.
