Skyland Resort in Shenandoah National Park is nestled along mile 41.7 & 42.5 at Skyline Drive’s highest elevation, which is 3,680 feet. They have rooms ranging from premium ones to detached small cabins, preferred and traditional rooms, suites, and pet-friendly rooms. All located in 28 separate buildings along the ridge in the wooded areas on over 27 acres of Shenandoah National Park.

Aside from separate cabins, Skyland Resort has rooms that you can book. The first type of room is a premium room. This room is newly decorated with one king or two queen beds, as well as wood plank luxury vinyl flooring. It has a 46” flat screen tv and other hotel amenities. These rooms are designed as one or two-story buildings with exterior access. 

Next, they have preferred rooms with one king or two queen beds. The amenities are the same as the premium rooms, but there is less decoration.

The traditional rooms, just like how it’s called, have a traditional atmosphere. With a wooden wall, it will make you feel like you’re closer to nature. It doesn’t have any air conditioner – only a ceiling fan in some rooms. 

Last but not least, they have suites. It features a one-bedroom suite with one double and one twin bed, as well as flat-screen TV, air conditioner, and other standard amenities.

Many people opt for Skyland Resort’s cabins for staying in the Shenandoah National Park. As for the cabins, room setups vary from one double bed to two doubles and one twin per room. You can call the resort to confirm your inquiries. 

There is no television and no air conditioner, only a ceiling fan in some rooms. Four cabins have a sitting room and kitchenette; sold as free-standing units. Eight cabins feature 2-4 rooms – each room sold independently. 

All rooms in Skyland Resort charge an additional fee of USD 25 per night if you’re bringing along pets.

Feeling hungry? You can go to Skyland Resort Restaurant! This restaurant has three dining options: Pollock Dining Room, Mountain Taproom, and Grab ‘n Go. The Pollock Dining room allows guests to enjoy their food while seated in the restaurant. 

They have a breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus. This includes soups, salads, sandwiches, turkey, roasted chicken, and many more. They also have vegetarian and gluten-free food options. From the Pollock Dining Room, you can enjoy the view of the park itself. 

The Mountain Taproom is where you want to go when you want to drink! In the evening, Mountain Taproom also has live music so you will be able to relax and enjoy your drink more. They also serve yummy desserts. 

Lastly, the Grab ‘n Go is for you who want fast take away foods, snacks, and beverages. It’s the cheapest place to get anything to eat without driving down the mountain. However, it’s only open until 4 PM.
