At the southern end of St. Louis, you will find the Jacobin Gate, the only gate of the four main gates of the wall that survives to this day. This gate was originally built around 1365 and was rebuilt in 1779. Basilique St. Nazaire was built in the 6th century, this Roman and Gothic cathedral boasts stunning windows and a Roman tripartite canyon. The choir stained glass central window is one of the oldest windows in France. Built on the site of the Carolingian cathedral, in 1898 the church was made into a small basilica.
