FOOD & DRINK

Fettucini is a pasta that is served using a cream sauce so that most of the color is white while more spaghetti is served using a red tomato sauce on top. The distinctive feature of this Italian food is its size, which is wider than spaghetti, so of course you can easily distinguish it. Chicken Parmigiana is chicken dishes that are fried using sauce, cheese and served together with spaghetti. The difference with the chicken cordon bleu lies in the location of the cheese, if the cordon bleu does have a cheese inside, while in the parmigiana chicken the cheese is placed on the top of the chicken when it is served.

CULTURE

Italian is spoken within the whole province. In the city of Trieste, many people speak Triestine, a dialect of Venetian. Tergestine, an archaic dialect of Friulian, was spoken in Trieste and in Muggia, but became completely extinct by the mid-19th century.
