SIGHTSEEING

The Great Pyramid is the right option for when you first stepping into this city. This is the world's largest pre-Hispanic construction with a base of 40 acres and a height of 214 feet. The pyramid has its own myth related to a giant named Xelhua. Not only strolling around this archaeological zone, but you can also visit the Pyramid museum there. The museum features items of stone and shell as well as murals of the pyramid. Interestingly, the Quetzalcoatl ritual is performed on the pyramid along with dance, pre-Hispanic instrument and fireworks.

Start your tour in Cholula by exploring the town square in the downtown. The attraction in the city center is dominated by churches with great neoclassic architecture. Head to Parish of San Pedro Cholula to experience 17th century building with a mix of Baroque and Renaissance architecture. Also explore the house of the eagle knight, Capilla de Naturales or known as San Gabriel Franciscan Convent. This Gothic church was established in 1529 with a large atrium.
