SIGHTSEEING

If you are visiting Lima, the iconic Plaza de Armas of Lima must be included in your must-visit list. Plaza de Armas of Lima or The Plaza Mayor is a historical main square in Lima. It's also called the core of the city. Visitors can see the changing of the guard every weekday at noon. Plaza de Armas is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Once you come to this site, there are other nearby attractions such as Government Palace, the Cathedral of Lima, Archbishop's Palace of Lima, the Municipal Palace, and the Palace of the Union.

DOWNTOWN

Miraflores is an exclusive residential in Lima because it has various hotels, restaurants, bars, nightclubs, and department stores. Miraflores is also a cultural center since it has theaters, cinemas, and art galleries. Miraflores is just south of downtown Lima. Totally must visit! he Basilica Cathedral of Lima, or well known as Lima Cathedral is a Roman Catholic church building situated in the Plaza Mayor of downtown Lima, Peru. Development started in 1535 and finished in 1649. It is devoted to St John, Apostle and Evangelist. In front of the facade, it has around three large doorways. The main or central gateway is known as the Portada del Perdón or the "door of forgiveness". Over the doorways is the Peruvian seal and the expression "Plus Ultra" instead of Lima's escutcheon. The two high towers with tower of record, are neoclassical with stylistic of the influences of the school "El Escorial" and of northern Europe. In addition, there are 14 side sanctuaries, one of which opens on to Calle de Judíos (Street of the Jews) and another on to the Patio de los Naranjos (Square of the Orange Trees, associated with the Cathedral). At the back are two additional passageways: Santa Apolonia and San Cristóbal. Set on the front veneer are models of the Apostles and in the center, the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Larco Museum (or Museo Larco) is a must-visit museum in Lima. It is located in Pueblo Libre District. It is most famous for some erotic pre-Columbian pottery. There are changing temporary exhibitions there. This museum has a large archaeological collection, worth to be visited! Park of the Reserve is located in downtown Lima, Peru. This park was built in an irregular shape between two of the city's principal streets, it is the Paseo de la Republica expressway and Arequipa Avenue. The park has a neo-classical style, and it was designed by the French architect Claude Sahut.
