Boone is a city that is rich in cultural diversity. It can be seen from the number of museums, art galleries, and festivals like the Woolly Worm Festival, New River Blues Festival, and Watauga County Farmer's Market. Boone is also known as 'The High Country' because of the mountainous terrain of the town. And every summer since 1952, the town held an outdoor drama called the Horn in the West that tells the story of the British settlement in Boone during the American Revolutionary War.
