It's an extremely important part of Taos history and a great place to take children also.

This is the actual home Kit Carson lived in with his 3rd wife and family.

The home is full of artifacts and photos including Kit's Masonic Lodge lambskin apron that should have been buried with him.

Taos Art Museum at Fechin House is truly a great place to visit and explore the city's history. There are many spots to capture like its wooden interior, fabulous furniture, and some elements from 1930s construction. You may also like to capture the unique architecture of San Francisco de Asís Mission Church. It is one of the finest examples of Spanish Colonial New Mexico church. The site is listed in National Historic Landmark.

Taos Art Museum at Fechin House

Beautiful historic houses and art studio of the early 20th century.

The Fechin House itself is a joy to roam, with its comfortable, sunlit spaces and authentic appointments.

Go up the hand-carved spiral stairway and visit perhaps the best rooms in the house.

The grounds are nice and are a quiet and pleasant place to relax.

San Francisco de Asís Mission Church

This is an extremely iconic part of Ranchos de Taos.

It is the 2nd or 3rd most photographed place in northern New Mexico.

The cultural inside artwork is amazing, primitive paintings are amazing too.

Definitely worth a visit.
