This museum, opened in 1996, is built in honorary memory of the Mongol warlord, Amir Timur. The outside museum is colored with white surroundings and stunning blue cupola. Before visiting Tashkent, you might want to learn some basic words from both Uzbek and Russian. English is not spoken widely by the older generation. Though the young generation would, sometimes, prefer English for practicing.
