Baxter State Park is a large wild area for all time which is preserved as a state park. It is situated in Northeast Piscataquis, Piscataquis County in north-central Maine, United States. It is in the North Maine Woods district and borders the Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument on the east. You can do several fun activities while feeling a natural atmosphere here. The summer camping season is generally from May 15 to October 15, weather permitting, however extend to October 22 at select areas.
