There are three main trails that we recommend: a small trail off the main campground that goes to a nice little lagoon, the swim area, and the main river trail. The park is very remote so you don't get a lot of disturbances and can see the night stars without the city lights interfering.

Pedernales Falls State Park is one of those places you have to see to believe - magical. So much to explore. Well-kept trails and campsites. Don't forget to hike to see the twin waterfalls and there's even a beautiful bird watching blind. The view is breathtaking and if you are an outdoors person, this is your playground. It has some of the coolest rock formations, with running/rushing water here and there, and some puddling too in pools. This park also provides canoe and kayak as the water sport to over the river here. Another activity that you can do is Riding a horse. Requires driving experience, the track is very rocky with some steep slopes.

Have dinner at Fat Boy Burgers. This restaurant has great burgers and awesome onion rings. The place was clean Service was great and food came out fresh. It definitely would be a good place to eat when in the area. You can also go to El Charro Restaurant. A surprising little place with big tacos and a lot of flavors!. Amazing breakfast tacos and big portions for lunch and dinner. A good place to relax after a long day of work.
