Explore the Hanging Rock State Park and see the breathtaking natural attractions the park has, such as waterfalls, caves, and mountaintops. There's the Lower Cascades Falls, a 35 ft high waterfall that is open to the public and can be reached through a 0.3-mile trail that leads to the fall. There's also Tory's Den Cave, a cave that was built during the American Revolution, and near the cave is a waterfall called Tory's Falls.

Summer is the best time to visit the park since some of the attractions at the park only open during the summer. During the summer, there are also many interesting events and activities that are held near the lake. The weather in summer is also perfect for outdoor activities.


The 3.482 h park has a lot to offer since there are many activities that you can do here. If you plan for one day trip to Hanging Rock State Park, make sure to visit the lake. Here, you can swim in
the designated area or boating through the lake. Don't forget to check the park's official website to make sure that the lake is open for a swim. And one thing that can't be missed while you're visiting the park is hiking its trails. You can also do some rock climbing and picnicking at the two picnic areas that offer 60 picnic sites. When you're exploring the state park, it's encouraged for you to bring enough supplies such as water and food as well as comfortable shoes for hiking. Some trails and camping grounds are handicapped-accessible. Alcohol is not allowed in the park and littering is illegal, so make sure to bring a proper container to keep your trash.


Hanging Rock State Park is a perfect destination for camping since the park has 73 campsites for visitors. Besides tents, the campsite can also accommodate RVs.
