LANDMARKS

One of the most popular landmarks in Mumbai is Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus. Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, which was formerly known as Victoria Terminus, is among the busiest railroad stations in the country. An extraordinary example of Victorian-Gothic design style, the railroad station is an UNESCO World Heritage Site. This marvelous edifice, planned by F. W. Stevens was structured in the year 1887 to praise the Golden Jubilee of Queen Victoria. The terminus was authoritatively renamed as Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus in 1996.
The terminus building boasts striking stone vaults, pointed curves, amazing turrets and capricious ground plan that leave visitors stunned. The stained-glass windows improve the loveliness of the terminus’ great façade. The terminus fills in as a terminal for both neighborhood and long-distance trains of the Mumbai Suburban Railway. Frequented by history enthusiasts and commuters, Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus is among the most famous spots of traveler enthusiasm for the city.
Another landmark you should visit is Taj Mahal Palace. As Mumbai's most popular landmark, this amazing hotel is a blend of Islamic and Renaissance styles, and India's second-most-shot landmark. It was structured in 1903 by the Parsi industrialist JN Tata, apparently after he was rejected entry to close by European lodgings because of being 'a local'. You will realize how wonderful this hotel is. It has absolutely fantastic and spectacular sights.
