Welcome to South Llano River State Park, plenty of water access points, and the water itself is clean and fresh for swimming/floating. Lots of places to swim and hike. The short hike to the top for the scenic overlook is fun. Camping ground seems good too. They have a beautiful river, and there is an assortment of camping styles here. You can do primitive, or ones with a covered picnic area. The wildlife here is lovely, and at night the stars can be seen with the naked eye.
Go to City Sweets Bakery & Cafe to breakfast or lunch before you get a journey to South Llano River State Park. What a fantastic meal and a friendly atmosphere! You can then visit South Llano River State Park, gorgeous and small enough to toss the map aside and walk. It offers hiking, rock climbing, camping, swimming, canoeing, fishing, and exploring. When the weather is hot and humid, in addition to a lake there is a swimming pool in the park for cooling down. Stopped here to get a glimpse of what the park and its amenities. Amazing. The whole park is immaculate and well maintained. There are over 20 miles of hiking, and they have primitive campsites.
South Llano River State Park Campground is a beautiful park, friendly campground. It is a great park! Not overly crowded, plenty of space! Excellent place to relax and enjoy the river. Great hikes and bird watching. At night you can enjoy stargazing. The stars at night are big and bright, deep in the heart of Texas. Love the place, camping is great.

Isaack Restaurant is another popular and great restaurant/cafe you can visit. This restaurant serves some authentic American food. The onion rings and chicken fried steak are fantastic. Large portions. The hamburgers are lovely, and everything tastes homemade and fresh.
