Visit Mustang Island Beach to get a fantastic experience. If you go to Beach access road 3, there's a sandbar that makes a natural "kiddie pool". A lot of people throw their trash down, which is unfortunate, but it's beautiful. Small hermit crabs, lots of baitfish. There are jellyfish, so make sure you have topical Benadryl just in case.
You can also visit Packery Channel Park. Great for what it is. A short walk with a few right places to stop and look at local plants and even bird viewing spots. Very close to the channel where you can fish, watch others fish, or watch people dodge the boats as they come by and pay no mind to anyone's lines.
Many things activities that free charges such as Roberts Point Park and Aransas Pass Lydia Ann Lighthouse. Roberts Point Park is just a small, often overlooked park with some good views from the tower. If you want a place that isn't customarily packed to enjoy the water's thoughts, well, then this is the place. It's good also an excellent place to grab some lunch and head here to enjoy it. It could use a bit of an update. Seems like a right fishing spot. It is our parking place after our family got ice cream. Each time you enjoy seeing big boats go by, dolphin sightings, and the beautiful scenery.

The staff is accommodating, and they have a great selection of surf supplies/apparel. They also rent surfboards. Port A H2O Jet Ski rentals, fishing charters, and kayak/SUP are another place to do water sports. If you are looking to jet ski in Port Aransas, this is the place to go. Great instructions/tips, and drop us off at the perfect spot! Equipment is in excellent condition and also loan us waterproof bags for our phones! Will use them again when you visit! What's excellent about Mustang Island Beach is it allows you to have the best experience ever. Even buildings like hotels are reachable by foot only, and the prices are also very reasonable, just like this La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Corpus Christi-N Padre Isl. This basic hotel is also 9.9 miles from Padre Island National Seashore. The casual rooms feature flat-screen TVs with premium cable channels and microwaves, minifridges, coffeemakers, and free WiFi. Amenities include a fitness center, a convenience store, and a restaurant, plus a heated indoor pool and a hot tub. And then there is also Red Roof Inn Port Aransas, another beautiful 2-star hotel. This down-to-earth budget hotel is a mile from the ferry terminal and a 15-minute walk from Port Aransas Beach and Port Aransas Museum. It provides complimentary WiFi and flat-screen TVs, as well as minifridges, microwaves, and coffeemakers. Other amenities include an outdoor pool, a picnic area, and coin-operated laundry facilities.
Beach & Station Street Grill is a fantastic restaurant that you should visit. Decided to drop in this cozy little grill. Visiting for the weekend for some birdwatching in port Aransas. This place is a must when in Port A! This will forever be our favorite spot when visiting. Excellent service and food are unbelievable! If you'd like to try something unique, you can head to MacDaddy's Family Kitchen. Everything here is right, and there is a little bit of something for everyone. Pulled pork is flavorful with excellent smoke flavor. The grilled fish is always the right choice, as well.
To complete your fun journey at Mustang Island Beach, you must spend some of your time at the nearest bars. There are many bars on the beach, including Mikel May's Beachside Bar & Grill. This place is fantastic, apart from having an incredible food experience you have a great selection of drinks! Afterward, walk on the pier or take/rent a fishing pole, and you will have an opportunity to fish and watch the sunset or watch the magnificent sunset! Angry Marlin Restaurant & Cool Water Bar is another option. The Angry Marlin is one of your last stops before hitting the beach at Padre Island National Seashore, and a great place to stop for a drink or bite. Clean. Friendly crew. Plenty of exciting things on the menu. Remember, you are on island time, so don't be in a hurry. Grab a cold one or two, and enjoy the patio or beer garden while you wait.
