A nice area to hang out by the water, and have a picnic at a picnic table. The views are stunning. You can hike over the hill south to Bowman Bay.
Plan your trip to Deception Pass State Park starting from early morning. Rosario Head Trailhead is the first place that you should visit. This place is a very scenic location with lots of areas for picnicking and hiking. Such a lovely hike along Bowman Bay tons stunning overlook in Deception Pass State Park. Jaw-dropping views and if you are lucky, you may see some amazing wildlife. Bald eagles, seals, and maybe even an Orka!. Then, you can continue your journey by visiting North Beach, Deception Pass State Park. Great place to see Whales and a great sunset. This place has a beautiful beach. The nice long stretch of beach for walking or beachcombing. A separate roped off area for swimming also available which looks nice for families with small children. For those who love fishing, Cornet Bay Boat Ramp is a great place to do it. Cornet Bay is absolutely beautiful place to go fishing. Also, the views are completely stunning. Multiple boat ramps and plenty of parking. Great trails close by, both paved and unpaved. Fantastic spot for a day out.

Cranberry Lake Campground, Deception Pass State Park is one of the best campgrounds in here. This place has a beautiful location, great trails, good bathrooms, and nice campsites. Access to water, electrical (at some spots), and clean restrooms. Good trails and beach access. The rangers at the entrance we're extremely helpful and friendly!
If you are planning for camping here, it's recommended to arrive before dark for the preparation. Then, during a pandemic, you can also prepare like hand sanitizer dan don't forget to wash your hand.
The best time to visit Deception Pass State Park would be from May to Septembery. This is because of the comfortable temperature and low chance of rain.
If you are not planning to camp here, you can stay at the closest hotel nearby to have easy access to reaching the park. If you are planning to have a budget stay here, The Bluff on Whidbey Bed & Breakfast is where you should book your room. This place was a perfect getaway. The view from the room is gorgeous, they have a lovely garden back yard that ends at the bluff with a view of the sound and snow-capped mountains. Another recommended hotel nearby is Pioneer Trails RV Resort. Recommend finding a better family-oriented place to stay. The campgrounds are surrounded by beautiful trees and it is very peaceful here. The grounds are kept in excellent condition and having an onsite laundry is very convenient.

In The Shrimp Shack, you can order breakfast, lunch, and weekend brunch menu. Look no further this place is legit what you need. You can never go wrong with halibut and chips. If you're into oysters this place definitely does them right. The popcorn shrimp is also a favorite. Out another pick for restaurants is Seabolt At Deception. Wonderful spot to have both a store and a breakfast and lunch grill. Food is good, they have wifi and a spot to sit at tables. Perfect to be able to buy a coffee or beer.
