Go to Tournament Point with your bicycle to see the extra scenic view of Colorado River. Don’t worry! It would only take you 5 minutes to get there. This place is perfect to see the sun setting down. So, don’t forget to take your camera to immortalize the orange sky, featuring the pretty lake.

There are many activities that you can do in Pace Bend Park. Don’t worry if you’ve got a whole day, you will be able to experience the wonderful activities! If you’re a thrill seeker, you would totally want to try the cliff jump onto the river. Go to the eastern side of the park, and follow the Grisham trail. This will lead you to the cliff jumping sport, which is on your right. The cliff itself is 45 feet high. So, prepare yourself!

If you just want to walk around, you can explore the park by hiking, bicycling, or following the equestrian trails. Swimming on a beach and boating are quite popular too in this place. However, if you just want to laze around the park, pack up your picnic gears and go to their picnic tables with barbecue grills!


Wishing to stay more than one day in the park? worry not! You can sign up for camping in Pace Bend Park. They offer primitive camping with first-come first-serve basis. You can choose whether you want to camp near the cliffs or the beach. If you choose primitive camping, you will only be able to use waterless toilet for the amenities.

Pace Bend Park also offers improved camping, with water and electrical hook-ups, showers, and restroom. All of the campsites are in close distance to the lake. The grassy areas are perfect for tent camping. Parking is available on site, with maximum two vehicles for a site.

During pandemic, visitors are encouraged to use face coverings, practice social distancing and bring hand sanitizer. The restroom facilities will be available, but limited. The number of visitors per day will also be limited as well.


The best time to visit Pace Bend Park would be from September to November and from May to March, when the temperatures are relatively comfortable. Visiting the park in summer (June through August) would be too hot for most people, with high humidity.
