Welcome to Rocky Gap State Park in Flintstone! Great views of the lake and forest trees and wildflowers. Some parts of the trail have rocks and roots that could be a problem for young children or adults with balance issues. In this park, there are many things that you can do such as camping and watching animals. There are socks, a boat landing, a beach, and the views are really beautiful. It's a great fishing spot and we will be getting a large raft so we can come back to explore the lake.
If you only have a day to visit Rocky Gap State Park, you can start to visit Lakeside Loop Trailhead. The lakeside loop is a family-friendly hike around Lake Habeeb. Great hike along the lakeshore. The massive trees and breeze off the water make it delightful. The path is dirt, grass, and rocks so wear some good shoes. Then, you can buy some things to complete your day while you camping. Camp Store is a small store that covers most of your camping essentials.
Camping is one of the favorite things to do at Rocky Gap State Park. Camper Registration Building is a playground and camp store both located by the beach with restrooms inside. Very beautiful trails with a great beach area that is roped off from the rest of the water. Swimming is not allowed outside of the beach area but if you want to see along the water you can rent a kayak for about $5 an hour.
If you’re visiting Dan Nicholas Park, you must follow the rules of this park. First, you’re not allowed to swim in Lake Habeeb. Enjoy your time and do activities that are good for your health.

The next nice restaurant you can visit is Lindy's Restaurant. Great good old fashioned home-cooked style meals served in generous portions. Excellent down home-cooking' ! Inexpensive. Try the chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, green beans, roll, and coconut cream pie.
