More than 2,600 hectares with a lake area of 410 hectares. 181 modern campsites. Picnicking, swimming, boat launching, fishing, wildlife viewing area, bird watching. Rowboats, canoes, paddleboat, pontoon rentals are available in the summer. The path that takes you through pasture grass, hardwood forests and pine stands with 16 miles of hiking or biking, and 9 miles for horse riding, snowmobiling, and also features a metal detection area.

During the spring, forest rangers host the weekly Nature of Sleepy Hollow State Park program, which educates campers about local wildlife and the history of the surrounding area. This is a great opportunity for families to spend time together, especially after a day of hiking and camping. Strangely, it is during this winter that this park is visited most often. Sleepy Hollow is best known for miles and miles of snowshoeing and cross-country skiing across the land. The trail was well-traveled, but there was no lack of privacy to get out and find peace and tranquility within the boundaries of the forest which was muffled by the snow.

Camping here is easily accessible. Michigan residents can use their City Park Recreational Passports for free entry. Otherwise, the entry fee is $ 11 for residents and $ 16 for non-residents. If camping, full-service campsites start at $ 25 / night, while rustic walk-ins are only $ 17 / night. Additionally, if camping in a tent doesn't sound like you, there are cabins on the premises available for rent for $ 68 per night. If you want electricity and a full-service cabin, Deluxe Cabins can be rented at $ 101 per night. Boat launch and paved parking area. Lake Ovid is a "No Wake" lake in the Sleepy Hollow State Park. There are 2 boating access sites in Clinton County which are managed by the park, Lake Muskrat, and Looking Glass River. See Michigan Recreational Boating Information System for more information. Kayaks, rowing boats, rowing boats, and pontoon boats are available for rent.
