SIGHTSEEING

Got a day to explore Skidaway Island State Park? worry not! You can just hike around the park. they have 7 miles of trail for hiking and biking. If you don’t bring your own bicycle, you can just rent it from the park office. If you fancy picnicking, there are many spots inside the park where you can just sit and enjoy spending time with your family there.
You can also visit their Interpretive Nature Center where you can see giant ground sloth exhibit, birding station, reptile room, and other natural and cultural displays here.

CAMPING

Skidaway Island State Park offers camping inside the park. There are 99 campsites in total, and you can choose whether you want to rent the cabin, electric campsite, group shelters, or pioneer camping site. The most popular campsite, which is electric campsite, has maximum 6 people per site and electric hook-ups is available. Dogs are allowed too in the campsite area. Around the campsite, you can use their picnic table, BBQ/Grill, and fire ring to set up campfire.

This café is located only 6.3-miles away from the park, and you can enjoy their yummy seafood and steak. The restaurant’s atmosphere is more of a casual one, with a touch of Georgia coast-y vibe. When the weather is nice, we recommend you to request a table outside since the view is super pretty there.

Another restaurant you should check out is Castaways. This restaurant is situated 6.4 miles away from the park, and they serve American cuisine and wide variety of seafood. Indoor and outdoor seating is available, and you will feel welcomed with their live music as well. The staffs are known to be very helpful and nice.
