Basilica Cathedral in Brazil

The Peak was Great Our cruise arrived in Salvador on Feb. 26th and almost everything was closed as people recovered from celebrating Carnaval.

Cathdral Dating Back To 1672 The Jesuits began construction in 1657 and essentially completed the church in 1672.Externally it is plain but internally it is quite elaborate.

An impressive church This cathedral is one of the nicest churches of Salvador. I could not enter it when I was there, but from the outside it is very impressive.
