Centerpiece of Derbent This citadel is a must-visit for anyone in Derbent. One of the few UNESCO sites in all of the North Caucasus. Fascinating history, definitely recommend using a guide to get the full experience.

An empty ancient citadel The inside of the citadel is actually a bit disappointing as it is practically empty. However, the views are worth it.
