Durango Fish Hatchery and Wildlife Museum in United States

Welcome Sign with Days of operation

Very educational We stopped by but the museum was closed during the off season. We were still able to talk with someone and learn about the fish in their fishery. The kids loved being able to feed them.

Cheap Family Fun! My children and I love this place. We make it a stop at least once on all of our trips to Durango. For 25 cents you get to feed the fish and watch them. It's a nice little walk around to explore the fish.

If you love fishing The Hatchery offers a fascinating up close look at how trout are raised to be stocked around the state. You can even feed the fish! And as a bonus there are some fairly tame mule deer on site. And it's free!.

Due to COVID, the museum is closed for the 2020 season. Please remember to check us out for the 2021 season starting May 15-. through September 15, 2021. Monday- Saturday: 10am to 4pm Sunday: 11am to 3pm. The Hatchery is also closed to the public until further notice.
