Monument to Fallen Jewish People on March 2, 1942 in Belarus

The Pit memorial, Minsk.

Simple, yet powerfully-moving memorial. This site was nondescript at first, istting in a public park.

Striking, evocative and heartbreaking This is a memorial for the 5000 or so Jewish people who were shot by the Nazis from the nearby ghetto in 1942. Yama means Pit.

Yama - a small moving memorial First, if you want to visit this small memorial you'll have problems finding it. It's in a residential area, totally encircled with apartment blocks, near the Yubileni hotel.
