An outstanding museum Fabulous exhibits from the Wilson area and Nestus Freeman and his family, a thorough look back to our recent history. Mr. Freeman was an amazing man and extremely talented.

The New Building is Open and Wonderful What great pride and hard work was evident everywhere in the new building we toured this Friday. The Displays were great and the folks at the facility are welcoming.

A unique architectural jewel and small museum This is a very unique architectural jewel in Wilson built by hand by the African Amercian craftsman Oliver Nestus Freeman.

The Freeman Round House is an African-American Museum. Its purpose is to preserve, promote, and present African-American history, art, and culture to all citizens of Wilson and the region in order to increase the awareness, understanding, and appreciation of cultural traditions and African-American contributions to society.
