Phoenix Tower in China

Feng Huang ta (Phoenix pagoda) The Phoenix tower or pagoda was first constructed in the thirteenth year of the Ming Dynasty (1585) and then rebuilt in the thirtieth year of Qing Emperor Qianlong (1765).

Just OK I've been up this tower a couple of times and it's interesting for a short while, you get a good view of the city across the river, but not much more.

It was closed for renovation when I was there... I saw the pagoda (or tower) from Guangji Bridge and decided to walk for 20 minutes to reach the place. However, it was closed for renovation (I supposed) and could not go near it.
