Odd location, but pretty cool that it is still standing. I love that this quirky landmark is here! Lots of people stop by to check it out and grab a photo.
Huge Honkin Sassafras This is worth a trip if you visit Owensboro, even if just to see a tree that is believed to be over 300years old. It is also on the way to Hickory House BBQ. Not really much to see, except a plaque.
So big you can't reach around it!! The tree is next to the library in the yard of what appears to be an insurance company that is now for sale. Kinda cool to see something like this right in the middle of town. .
